Abstract

The relationship between halal law and various disciplines has become a crucial issue in the development of modern society, particularly amidst increasing public awareness of halal products and the development of industrial technology. This study aims to analyze the relationship between halal law and Islamic jurisprudence, chemistry, food technology, health, Islamic economics, and positive law in supporting the implementation of a comprehensive halal product assurance system. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach through analysis of various books, scientific journals, and regulations regarding halal product assurance in Indonesia. The results show that halal law cannot stand alone because it requires the support of other disciplines to ensure the halalness of products both in accordance with Islamic law and scientific principles. Chemistry and food technology play a role in identifying product ingredients, while health sciences ensure product safety for consumers. On the other hand, Islamic economics and positive law support the development of the halal industry and protect Muslim consumers. This study also found that the integration of halal law and other disciplines has a positive impact in terms of improved product quality, consumer protection, and the growth of the halal industry, although challenges remain such as the commercialization of halal labels, certification bureaucracy, and differences in halal standards between countries. Thus, the integration of halal law with various disciplines is an important need in responding to the challenges of modernization and globalization of the halal industry.
